THE WYLDS

Cinemavixion Review

This 2010 film, "The Wylds," presents a compelling coming-of-age narrative inspired by John Bunyan's "The Pilgrim's Progress." The story follows Chris, a young runaway surviving with a band of misfits in a junkyard through theft. His life takes a pivotal turn when a traveling preacher reveals that his father is alive and wishes for his return. Faced with this revelation, Chris embarks on a perilous journey into the wilderness, leaving behind his surrogate family to seek his biological father and a chance at a more promising future. The film promises an adventure suitable for families, drawing parallels to "Night Of The Comet" and "City Of Ember" for its blend of survival and quest elements.
