THE WRONG ROOMMATE

Cinemavixion Review

David DeCoteau's "The Wrong Roommate" plunges viewers into a suspenseful domestic drama that hinges on misplaced trust and hidden dangers. The narrative centers on a young college professor seeking solace after a painful breakup, only to find her sanctuary infiltrated by an enigmatic tenant. This stranger, while charming the professor's niece, harbors a past fraught with peril, expertly weaving a web of intrigue. Jessica Morris delivers a compelling performance as the protagonist navigating this unsettling situation, supported by a capable cast including Jason-Shane Scott and Dominique Swain. While the film may not boast major accolades, its effective pacing and escalating tension create a gripping thriller experience, exploring themes of vulnerability and the deceptive nature of appearances within a confined, unsettling environment. It's a solid entry in the thriller genre, recommended for those who enjoy suspenseful tales of characters caught in unforeseen circumstances.
