THE WOLF

Cinemavixion Review

Brett Bentman's "The Wolf" plunges viewers into a visceral struggle for survival, both external and internal. The narrative follows Arawn Bravebird, a hunter whose pursuit of a deadly wolf becomes intertwined with his profound grief over the loss of his wife, Nikki. As Arawn ventures deeper into the wilderness, the lines blur between reality and hallucination, with spectral visions of Nikki and haunting memories of the wolf plaguing his mind. The film masterfully uses the unforgiving natural landscape as a mirror to Arawn's fractured psyche, building a tense atmosphere of isolation and psychological torment. Blaine Hall delivers a compelling performance, embodying the hunter's raw determination and emotional turmoil. "The Wolf" is a stark exploration of loss, resilience, and the primal forces that can both destroy and define us.
