Cinemavixion Review

This historical documentary meticulously traces the tumultuous ascent and consolidation of power by the House of Normandy in England, commencing with William the Conqueror's pivotal triumph at the Battle of Hastings. It vividly portrays the inherent instability and constant threats faced by subsequent Norman monarchs, such as William Rufus and Henry I, as they grappled to assert and maintain their dominion over both England and the ancestral Duchy of Normandy. The narrative delves into the era's defining moments, including the ruthless campaign known as the Harrying of the North, the foundational establishment of the Exchequer for fiscal management, and the tumultuous reign of King John, culminating in the landmark imposition of the Magna Carta in 1215.
