THE UNPARALLELED PLANNING AND LOGISTICS BEHIND D-DAY

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary offers a compelling examination of the Allied campaign in the final year of World War II, focusing on the strategic brilliance and devastating consequences of the D-Day invasion and its aftermath. It masterfully contrasts the intricate deception operations, such as Operation Bodyguard and the innovative armored vehicles developed by Hobart's division, with the grim realities faced by soldiers as they advanced into Germany. The narrative does not shy away from the profound human cost, notably by detailing the harrowing liberation of the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. By weaving together these elements of secret history, logistical marvels, and immense sacrifice, the film provides a sobering yet essential perspective on one of history's most pivotal moments.
