THE TRUTH ABOUT THE KILLER WHO STALKED AN 89-YEAR-OLD

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the heart of Turtleford, Saskatchewan, a community where familiarity breeds a false sense of security, shattered by the brutal murder of an 89-year-old man. The narrative masterfully weaves together the victim's vibrant life—marked by a love for cars and a penchant for displaying his wealth—with the chilling mystery that follows. As a stranger arrives, an unsettling atmosphere descends upon the close-knit town. The discovery of the victim, accompanied by a bloody pickaxe and knife, alongside his missing wallet, ignites a desperate search for answers. The film meticulously traces the path of the investigation, utilizing eyewitness testimonies and forensic clues to zero in on a suspect with a history of violence. The central tension lies in the question of criminal responsibility: will the perpetrator be deemed "not criminally responsible" for their actions, or will the pursuit of justice culminate in a definitive conclusion? It's a compelling examination of crime, community, and the complex nature of accountability.
