Robert N. Bradbury's 1934 Western, "The Trail Beyond," offers a straightforward adventure starring a young John Wayne as Rod Drew. The film follows Drew's pursuit of a missing girl, which quickly escalates into a conflict over a lucrative goldmine. Drew finds himself entangled with his old friend Wabi, who has been framed for murder, and together they uncover a map leading to a hidden treasure. However, their discovery attracts the attention of the villainous LaRocque and his henchmen, leading to a series of confrontations.
