THE TRAGIC STORY OF THE GREENPEACE SHIP THAT WAS BLOWN UP

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges viewers into the chilling events of July 10th, 1985, at Aukland Harbour. It meticulously reconstructs the audacious bombing of the Greenpeace flagship Rainbow Warrior, an act of sabotage that tragically claimed the life of photographer Fernando Pereira. The film compellingly exposes the French government's desperate efforts to conceal the truth behind the bombing and their clandestine nuclear weapons testing in the Pacific. Through archival footage and revealing narratives, 'The Boat and The Bomb' crafts a powerful exposé on international espionage, governmental cover-ups, and the pervasive threat of the nuclear arms race. Its exploration of these themes resonates with unnerving relevance to contemporary global conflicts, serving as a stark reminder that some stories, and the injustices they reveal, refuse to be forgotten.
