THE TARGET

Cinemavixion Review

Giovanna Mercuri's "The Target" offers a poignant exploration of the pervasive nature of bullying across different age groups and demographics. The film delves into the profound impact such experiences can have, particularly through the character of Arav, whose struggles leave his loved ones in a state of bewilderment. Mercuri, who also helms the directorial duties and pens the script, crafts a narrative that encourages introspection, prompting viewers to reflect on their own encounters with bullying, past and present. With a runtime of 93 minutes, this Australian drama, featuring performances from Mercuri herself, Laurie Whitehead, and Damien Leith, serves as a compelling, albeit somber, examination of social dynamics and personal resilience.
