THE SUPER

Cinemavixion Review

This film, 'The Super,' presents a compelling, albeit dark, narrative centered on the karmic consequences faced by a wealthy landlord forced into the squalor of his own property. Joe Pesci anchors the story with his signature blend of sardonic wit and simmering intensity, effectively portraying a man stripped of his privilege and confronted with the harsh realities he has long ignored. The supporting cast, including Vincent Gardenia and Rubén Blades, adds depth to the ensemble, navigating the increasingly tense and claustrophobic atmosphere of the building. While the film delves into themes of greed and retribution, its exploration of karma offers a thought-provoking, if grim, commentary on the cyclical nature of wealth and neglect. It's a character study that benefits from Pesci's commanding presence, making for an engaging watch that probes the darker corners of urban life and personal accountability.
