THE STRATUM

Cinemavixion Review

In a future teetering on the brink, 'The Stratum' presents a compelling vision of humanity's struggle against corporate overreach and societal decay. The narrative plunges viewers into a dystopian landscape where a ruthless CEO commands Earth from the sterile confines of space, while a deadly virus rages below. The film masterfully blends cyberpunk aesthetics with a classic tale of rebellion, as a lone hacker and the CEO's own daughter unite their distinct skills—virtual reality prowess and sharp intellect—to ignite a revolution. Crash Buist and Lauren Senechal deliver performances that capture the desperation and resilience of their characters, navigating a world where virtual escapism and real-world stakes collide. This is a thought-provoking exploration of power, technology, and the enduring fight for freedom, urging audiences to question the systems that govern them.
