Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the dark underbelly of Sunshine, a Melbourne suburb, chronicling the life of Dino Dibra. Through his story, the film illuminates the grim realities of a tough, working-class environment that bred a generation entangled in the city's criminal underworld. Dibra's journey from a local boy to a figure associated with multiple murders, drug dealing, kidnapping, and extortion is presented as a stark narrative of ambition and downfall. The film explores the complex web of friendships forged in childhood that continued into a life of crime, offering a gritty, unflinching look at the social dynamics and circumstances that shape lives within such communities. It serves as a compelling, albeit disturbing, examination of Australian crime history.
