THE STALKING FIELDS

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Stalking Fields," director Ric Maddox crafts a high-octane thriller that plunges a group of individuals with checkered pasts into a terrifying ordeal. Abducted and thrust into a brutal "game," they become the hunted by elite ex-military soldiers grappling with PTSD. This covert program, orchestrated by the enigmatic AmaCorp, ostensibly serves as a radical therapy, aiming to reignite the soldiers' combat prowess by forcing them into a predatory role. However, the narrative takes a compelling turn when one soldier, tormented by his own history, begins to question the ethical implications of their mission and the true identity of their targets. "The Stalking Fields" masterfully blurs the lines between therapeutic intervention and profound cruelty, presenting a chilling exploration of the psychological toll of war and the darker facets of nationalistic fervor, all while drawing inspiration from the classic "The Most Dangerous Game."
