Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the intricate world of World War II aviation, focusing on the iconic Spitfire and its formidable counterpart, the Hawker Hurricane. We witness the meticulous efforts of Peter Monk and his Spitfire Factory team as they undertake the monumental task of attaching wings to a Spitfire restoration. The narrative expands to highlight the discovery of a buried Hurricane by a team of archaeologists in Essex, underscoring the enduring legacy of these legendary aircraft. Adding a deeply personal and harrowing dimension, the film features the astonishing survival story of Archie McInnes, a veteran Hurricane pilot and one of the last surviving members of 'Churchill's few,' recounting his near-death experiences in the face of overwhelming odds. It's a compelling look at both the engineering marvels and the human bravery that defined aerial combat in WWII.
