THE SON

Cinemavixion Review

This Finnish drama, titled 'THE SON', delves into the harrowing experience of a family facing the devastating consequences of a baseless accusation. When their young son Ivo is removed by social services, his parents, Timo and Nastya, are thrust into a desperate fight to reclaim him. The narrative is steeped in the emotional turmoil of parental anguish and the Kafkaesque struggle against an unjust system. Nastya grapples with the slander that has torn her family apart, while Timo, a politician in the midst of an election race, must navigate the delicate balance between his public life and his private crisis, where any misstep could prove catastrophic. The film, though lacking director and cast details in its provided metadata, promises a compelling exploration of familial bonds under extreme pressure and the societal mechanisms that can fracture them.
