THE SNIPER RIDGE

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Sniper Ridge," director Tian Dong and Zhiwen Li deliver a tense war drama set against the backdrop of the Korean War. The film follows a highly skilled Chinese sniper, portrayed with quiet intensity by Liangqi Cui, as he navigates the brutal realities of combat. His mission becomes a desperate fight for survival, not just for himself, but for the lives of his fellow soldiers. The narrative effectively captures the immense pressure and sacrifice inherent in such a conflict, highlighting the sniper's precision and courage amidst chaos. While the film focuses on a specific, harrowing mission, it also serves as a poignant reminder of the human cost of war and the bonds forged in the crucible of battle. Yupeng Tian and Haoyan Jiang offer solid support, contributing to the film's immersive atmosphere.
