THE SHATTERING

Cinemavixion Review

In 'The Shattering,' Murisa Harba crafts a psychological thriller that delves into the fragility of perceived perfection. The narrative centers on Claire, a woman whose seemingly idyllic life—marked by a loving husband, financial security, and an impending child—begins to unravel as her due date approaches. As reality distorts, the introduction of a mysterious psychiatrist serves as a catalyst, pushing Claire to confront hidden truths. The film masterfully explores themes of paranoia and the insidious nature of secrets, leaving the audience questioning the reliability of perception. Charlotte Beckett delivers a compelling performance, anchoring the film's descent into psychological turmoil. 'The Shattering' is a tense exploration of a mind under duress, posing the chilling question of whether uncovering the truth is worth the potential destruction it brings.
