Cinemavixion Review

Sally Blake, Denis Delestrac, and Robert Lang's "The Shadow of Gold" offers a stark and unflinching look into the multifaceted world of gold extraction. The documentary navigates the complex terrain between large-scale mining corporations and the individual prospectors who toil by hand, often for mere survival. It delves into the profound environmental and human consequences inherent in the pursuit of the world's most coveted precious metal, presenting a compelling, albeit sobering, examination of a global industry and its far-reaching impacts.
