THE SEVENTH DAY

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Seventh Day," director Justin P. Lange crafts a chilling descent into the spiritual and psychological battlegrounds of exorcism. The film pairs a seasoned exorcist, played with gravitas by Guy Pearce, with a novice embarking on his first assignment. As they confront escalating demonic manifestations, the narrative skillfully blurs the lines between external evil and the internal struggles of its protagonists. This creates a tense atmosphere where the true horror lies not just in the supernatural, but in the characters' own burgeoning inner demons. While the film garnered a modest reception, its exploration of faith, doubt, and the corrupting nature of power offers a compelling, albeit dark, cinematic experience for fans of the genre.
