THE SERIAL KILLER THAT RAN FOR MAYOR AND CONGRESS: CHARLES SEVERANCE

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling case of Charles Severance, a man whose criminal notoriety is juxtaposed with his political aspirations. The narrative skillfully connects an unsolved 2003 shooting to two later murders, revealing a disturbing pattern linked by unique ballistics and unconventional weapons. The true-crime aspect is amplified by the revelation of the killer's political ambitions, having run for both mayor and congress. This juxtaposition of public service and private depravity makes for a compelling and unsettling investigation into a mind that operated in plain sight, evading detection for years. The film effectively builds suspense, piecing together the evidence to uncover a predator hiding within the community fabric.
