Cinemavixion Review

Warwick Davis unveils a profoundly moving documentary, "The Secret History of Auschwitz’s Seven Dwarfs," chronicling the extraordinary true story of the Ovitz family. This remarkable troupe of Jewish dwarf entertainers from Transylvania found their lives irrevocably altered by the horrors of World War II. The film meticulously traces their journey from celebrated performers to captives within the confines of Auschwitz. It starkly illustrates their resilience and the unique, albeit precarious, protection their talents afforded them against the backdrop of Nazi persecution and the insidious experiments of Josef Mengele. Davis guides the viewer through this harrowing narrative, emphasizing the enduring power of performance and family bonds in the face of unimaginable adversity, offering a vital and deeply human perspective on a dark chapter of history.
