Cinemavixion Review

This documentary plunges into the heart of Peruvian legend, exploring the enduring quest for the fabled 'Cities of Gold' and the ultimate Inca relic, the Great Golden Disc of the Sun. It recounts the historical pursuit of these treasures, a quest that has drawn explorers for centuries to the formidable landscapes of Peru's high country, from mist-shrouded cloud forests to towering ice peaks. The narrative highlights the journey of David Adams to Puncuyoc, a sacred sister city to Machu Picchu, a location elusively sought by Hiram Bingham. The film taps into the allure of sun worship, virgin sacrifice, and the insatiable desire for gold that fuels these enduring myths.
