THE SATURDAY NIGHT STRANGLER

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the chilling case of the Saturday Night Strangler, a crime that remained unsolved for decades. The narrative focuses on Joseph Kappen, a man whose violent temper and criminal history culminated in the horrific murders of two teenage girls in 1973. The film highlights the groundbreaking use of familial DNA tracing, a technique that ultimately brought the killer to light posthumously, offering a measure of closure to the victims' families. The story serves as a stark reminder of the persistence required in modern forensic investigations and the profound impact such crimes have on communities. It's a compelling examination of a dark chapter in South Wales' history.
