THE RIPPER (TOM SAVINI)

Cinemavixion Review

This independent horror film from 1985, directed by Christopher Lewis, presents a chilling premise involving an antique ring imbued with the malevolent spirit of Jack the Ripper. The narrative follows a college professor who succumbs to the ring's dark influence, transforming into a homicidal maniac. While the film may not have garnered mainstream attention, its intriguing concept and the involvement of horror icon Tom Savini in its cast suggest a cult appeal for genre enthusiasts. It's a dive into possession horror with a classic slasher sensibility, offering a unique, albeit perhaps niche, viewing experience for those seeking a darker, more visceral tale.
