THE REAL STORY OF THE TOMB OF THE UNKNOWN WARRIOR

Cinemavixion Review

Dan Snow delves into the profound significance of Westminster Abbey's Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, a memorial born from the immense losses of the First World War. With over 700,000 British casualties, many left without a known grave, this tomb emerged as a crucial site for national remembrance. Snow's exploration, coinciding with the centenary of the warrior's interment, navigates the historical context and the personal impact of this poignant monument. Through visits to the Abbey and the National Army Museum, and conversations with curator Justin Saddington, the documentary unearths the compelling, often untold, stories that contribute to the enduring legacy of this solitary soldier, representing countless others lost to the ravages of conflict.
