THE REAL STORY BEHIND PUTIN & RUSSIA'S WEALTHIEST ELITES

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the complex and often brutal ascent of Vladimir Putin, examining how he systematically consolidated power by leveraging and controlling Russia's wealthiest elites, the oligarchs. The narrative highlights a pivotal moment in 2003 when Putin publicly humiliated and exiled Mikhail Khodorkovsky, then Russia's richest man. This event, coupled with Putin's notorious demand for a 50% cut from other oligarchs, serves as a potent symbol of his absolute authority and the pervasive fear he instilled to solidify his rule. The film offers a stark look at the intersection of political power and immense wealth in contemporary Russia.
