THE QUICK AND THE DEAD

Cinemavixion Review

Robert Totten's "The Quick and the Dead" plunges viewers into the harrowing realities of World War II. The film masterfully depicts a desperate flight through enemy territory, following a patrol of American soldiers as they attempt to return to friendly lines. Their perilous journey is complicated by the presence of a partisan girl, and the constant threat of German pursuit. The narrative excels in building tension, showcasing the grim determination and resilience required to survive in occupied lands. With strong performances from Victor French and Majel Barrett, the film offers a compelling, albeit bleak, portrayal of wartime survival and the bonds forged under extreme duress. It's a testament to the human spirit's endurance when faced with overwhelming odds.
