THE 'PSYCHOPATH' GANG THAT WOULD SHOOT FOR FUN | GANGS OF BRITAIN: MANCHESTER | ABSOLUTE CRIME

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the grim reality of Manchester's enduring gang culture, spanning over a century of violence and fear. The episode contrasts the historical Scuttles gang, known for spreading terror through the city streets over a hundred years ago, with the more recent and brutally efficient Gooch Gang. The latter’s legacy of torture, murder, and approximately two dozen cold-blooded killings paints a chilling picture of a criminal underworld that persisted until only a few years ago. The narrative is punctuated by a particularly poignant knife attack that claims a teenage gang member's life on an Edwardian street, serving as a stark historical marker. The juxtaposition of these eras highlights the cyclical and deeply rooted nature of gang activity in Manchester, offering a sobering look at the city's darker history.
