THE PROTESTS THAT SWEPT THE MIDDLE EAST AND THE WORLD

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the complex origins of the protests that destabilized the Middle East and resonated globally, beginning in late 2010. It poses critical questions about the true drivers behind these movements: were they organic uprisings fueled by social media and youthful activism, or were they externally manipulated campaigns orchestrated by powerful Western entities like the US State Department, Wall Street, and NATO? The film presents a compelling argument, championed by two journalists and an independent researcher, suggesting that the so-called 'Arab Spring' was less about fostering democratic ideals and more about the US State Department's strategic geopolitical objectives, aimed at establishing client states and isolating Iran. It challenges viewers to look beyond surface-level narratives and consider the deeper political machinations at play during a pivotal period of global unrest.
