THE PRICE TO PAY

Cinemavixion Review

Lorenzo Cunningham's 'The Price To Pay' plunges viewers into the gritty underbelly of desperation and consequence. The narrative centers on Jonathan and Jacob, two car salesmen whose lives take a precarious turn after discovering a substantial sum of money. While the premise echoes classic crime thrillers, the film distinguishes itself through its focus on the psychological toll of ill-gotten gains. Tony Guerrero and Samiah Alexander deliver compelling performances, particularly as Jonathan's reckless behavior escalates, drawing the unwanted attention of dangerous elements. The Rotten Tomatoes rating of 53% suggests a mixed critical reception, yet the film's exploration of greed and its inevitable fallout offers a thought-provoking, albeit dark, cinematic experience. Cunningham's direction navigates the escalating tension with a steady hand, making 'The Price To Pay' a worthy, if cautionary, watch for fans of character-driven crime dramas.
