This three-part documentary series, 'The Policemen Who Went Undercover In Drug Rings', delves into the profound personal sacrifices made by former agents of New Zealand's controversial undercover police program. Episode One, 'Going Under', transports viewers to the 1970s, chronicling the inception of the official undercover initiative and the agents' perilous entanglement with the formidable Mr. Asia drug syndicate. The series unflinchingly examines the psychological toll and ethical complexities inherent in living a fabricated existence, offering a rare glimpse into the human dimension of law enforcement's 'war on drugs'.
