THE PLASTIC HIKE

Cinemavixion Review

In 'The Plastic Hike,' filmmakers Augusto Gómez Lima and Carolina Semrau present a powerful and timely documentary that captures the urgent message of environmental activism. Filmed during the summer of 2020, the film chronicles the journey of 'The Trash Traveler' along the Portuguese coast. This visual narrative serves not only as a record of a significant environmental undertaking but also as a potent call to action against the pervasive issue of plastic pollution. By giving a voice to the community and highlighting the stark realities of our impact on the planet, the documentary effectively blends personal endeavor with a global concern, urging viewers to confront the consequences of our disposable culture and inspiring a collective responsibility for environmental stewardship.
