THE PHOTOGRAPHERS

Cinemavixion Review

In "The Photographers," director John Russo crafts a comedic thriller that plunges into the murky depths of a seemingly simple assignment gone awry. The film follows Rizzo Lens and Guppy Smudge, two photographers whose professional lives take a perilous turn when they are hired for a blackmail scheme by a disreputable real estate agent. What starts as a straightforward job to procure compromising photos of a competitor quickly escalates into a chaotic and dangerous affair, replete with unexpected violence, cunning schemes, and even suggestive overtures. The narrative, penned by Russo and Seff Soto, promises a blend of dark humor and suspense, as the protagonists find themselves entangled in a web of deceit far more complex than they initially anticipated. Starring Daniel Selk, Isaac Bales, and Bronwyn Jean Henry, "The Photographers" appears poised to deliver a unique cinematic experience, exploring the often-unseen, high-stakes world behind the lens.
