THE PHOENIX PROJECT

Cinemavixion Review

Tyler Graham Pavey's "The Phoenix Project" delves into the perilous ethical landscape of scientific ambition, presenting a taut narrative centered on four brilliant, yet obsessive, young scientists. Their clandestine endeavor to conquer mortality by reanimating the deceased culminates in a breakthrough that quickly spirals into a terrifying struggle for control. The film, released in 2015, stars Corey Rieger, Andrew Simpson, and David Pesta, who effectively convey the escalating dread and moral quandaries faced by their characters. While the film explores profound themes of life, death, and the hubris of 'playing God,' its independent spirit and focused execution make it a compelling, albeit chilling, watch for those intrigued by the darker implications of scientific advancement.
