THE PACT

Cinemavixion Review

Strathford Hamilton's "The Pact" from 2003 presents a chilling premise: a teenage pact that unleashes vengeful spirits years later. The film delves into the consequences of youthful indiscretions, exploring how buried secrets can resurface with terrifying force. While the description hints at a supernatural thriller, the narrative's true strength lies in its exploration of lingering guilt and the inescapable nature of past actions. The performances, particularly from Sigrid Thornton, Robert Mammone, and Peter O'Brien, are crucial in grounding the supernatural elements in human emotion. This is a film that suggests the most frightening monsters are often the ones we create ourselves, haunting us long after the initial transgression.
