THE PACKAGE

Cinemavixion Review

Jesse V. Johnson's "The Package" (2012) delivers a gritty, no-holds-barred action thriller that plunges viewers into the brutal underworld of rival crime syndicates. Starring the formidable duo of Steve Austin and Dolph Lundgren, the film centers on a courier whose seemingly straightforward delivery mission escalates into a desperate fight for survival. The plot, penned by Derek Kolstad, masterfully unravels layers of deception as the protagonist discovers the true, perilous nature of the "package" he's tasked with transporting. While the film's critical reception and box office performance were modest, its strength lies in its relentless pacing and explosive action sequences, characteristic of its leading men. "The Package" offers a compelling, albeit violent, cinematic experience for fans of hard-boiled crime thrillers and high-octane action.
