THE OTHER SIDE

Cinemavixion Review

This 2014 thriller, 'The Other Side,' plunges into the murky depths of a filmmaker's legacy and its disturbing echo in reality. The narrative centers on the unsettling premise of a serial killer whose gruesome acts mirror a sensationalized film from the 1980s. As the past resurfaces with deadly consequences, the story pivots to the filmmaker's son, Jacob, who returns home grappling with his own demons. His journey becomes a profound internal battle against addiction and the insidious pull of darkness, mirroring the very themes his father explored on screen. The film promises a tense exploration of inherited trauma and the perennial struggle between good and evil, not just in the world, but within the confines of one's own psyche.
