THE OCCUPANT

Cinemavixion Review

Samuel Krebs's 'The Occupant' plunges viewers into a chilling narrative of familial strife and supernatural dread. Set within the confines of a famously haunted childhood home, the film masterfully explores the dark undercurrents of inheritance disputes that escalate into a fight for survival. Following their mother's passing, four estranged siblings are drawn into a desperate conflict when an enigmatic stranger emerges, asserting a claim to their ancestral property. The atmosphere is thick with tension, amplified by the performances of Rik Billock, Megan Bolton, and David Flick, who effectively convey the characters' mounting terror and desperation. While the film has garnered some attention, including two nominations, its unsettling premise and claustrophobic setting make it a compelling watch for those who appreciate a good ghost story laced with psychological drama.
