THE NIGHT WATCHMAN

Cinemavixion Review

Tiziano Cella's "The Night Watchman" (2017) plunges viewers into a chilling night shift that quickly spirals into a descent into the protagonist's own troubled past. Starring Andreea Dragusanu, Vanessa Grappa, and Jonathan Silvestri, the film follows Jack, a former police agent turned rookie watchman, as he takes on his first assignment at a music school. What begins as a seemingly routine nocturnal vigil soon reveals unsettling, potentially supernatural occurrences. However, the true horror emerges not from spectral entities, but from the resurfacing of Jack's own dark history as a law enforcement officer. While the film garnered a modest 2.1 rating on IMDb, its narrative promises a tense exploration of guilt and the inescapable nature of one's past, wrapped in a thriller package. It's a film that might appeal to those drawn to psychological suspense and character-driven mysteries set against atmospheric backdrops.
