THE NECRO FILES

Cinemavixion Review

Released in 1997, "The Necro Files" plunges into the grimy underbelly of horror with a premise that promises relentless gore and unhinged action. The film pits two determined cops against a resurrected, flesh-eating zombie maniac, a cannibalistic serial killer whose insatiable hunger knows no bounds. Director Matt Jaissle crafts a narrative that, while perhaps leaning into the B-movie aesthetic, delivers on its promise of a heart-pumping thriller. Comparisons to cinematic touchstones like "The Silence of the Lambs" and "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" suggest a film aiming for visceral impact, blending elements of horror, suspense, and action. Despite a modest critical reception, indicated by its IMDb rating, "The Necro Files" stands as a cult offering for aficionados of extreme horror, eager for a wild ride that keeps them on the edge of their seats.
