THE NARCISSISTS

Cinemavixion Review

Quincy Rose's 2017 comedy "The Narcissists" offers a slice-of-life look at a Brooklyn couple, Oliver and Cassi, as they navigate a day apart, each contemplating the future of their five-year relationship. The film, starring Augie Duke, Jessica DiGiovanni, and Rose himself, delves into the complexities of modern romance with a comedic yet often introspective tone. While "The Narcissists" garnered one nomination, its critical reception, as indicated by an IMDb rating of 4.7/10, suggests a mixed audience response, potentially appealing more to those who appreciate nuanced character studies over broad comedic strokes. The film's exploration of commitment and individual introspection within a relationship makes it a noteworthy, if understated, entry in the indie comedy-drama landscape.
