THE MYSTERY OF THE SEALED COFFIN | MUMMY FORENSICS | TIMELINE

Cinemavixion Review

This intriguing documentary from Timeline plunges viewers into the heart of an archaeological puzzle. Led by the dedicated Dr. Joann Fletcher and her team from York University, the film presents a unique challenge: identifying the cause of death and the identity of a female mummy encased within an ornate Egyptian coffin, all without the possibility of direct examination. The investigation cleverly employs advanced technologies, including X-ray and CT scans, alongside sophisticated facial reconstruction and modeling techniques. This approach allows the team to piece together the life and demise of the individual, promising a "grizzly tale" that is both scientifically rigorous and compellingly suspenseful. It's a testament to modern forensic science's ability to unlock ancient secrets.
