THE MYSTERY OF THE IRON AGE MUMMY AND OTHER UNSOLVED ANCIENT MURDERS

Cinemavixion Review

This compelling series delves into the chilling world of ancient homicides, employing the sharp lenses of criminal psychology and forensic anthropology to illuminate mysteries that have long confounded historians. Each episode presents a meticulously researched case, transforming historical figures into subjects of intense forensic scrutiny. We follow detective Rod Demery and scientist Turi King as they examine remarkably preserved victims, from the serene Tollund Man to the icicle-entombed Ötzi, seeking to reconstruct the final moments of their lives and identify their assailants. The investigation into Rosemarkie Man, a Pictish-era victim found in a Scottish sea cave, is particularly gripping as the team posits theories of sea raiders, pagan rituals, or rival leadership. The journey continues to Verona to dissect the demise of the 14th-century warlord Cangrande della Scala. This approach breathes new life into history, presenting it not as a static record, but as a series of complex puzzles waiting to be solved.
