THE MYSTERY OF GLASGOW'S DARK AGE BRITTONIC GRAVEYARD

Cinemavixion Review

Time Team ventures into the heart of Scotland to unravel the enigmas of a Dark Age Brittonic graveyard. This archaeological expedition focuses on a site rich with ancient gravestones, some even bearing the distinctive marks of Viking hogback tombstones. The central mystery revolves around the identities of those interred and the significance of this burial ground. The presence of a potential early Christian enclosure, suggested by the graveyard's rounded boundary, adds another layer to the investigation. With the expertise of archaeologist Anna Richie, the team explores possible links to prominent Dark Age political centers like Dumbarton Rock and Strathclyde, piecing together clues that could illuminate a pivotal, yet often overlooked, period in Scottish history.
