THE MYSTERY OF CARL BRIDGEWATER

Cinemavixion Review

This documentary delves into the harrowing 20-year campaign by Ann Whelan, mother of Michael Hickey, one of the infamous Bridgewater 4, to prove her son's innocence. Armed with legal documents, her quest is taken up by Professor David Wilson and his team. Their investigation uncovers statements that cast doubt on Bert's narrative, leading to an aggressive confrontation. Bert's subsequent, peculiar behavior at the crime scene, and his surprising recognition of a house connected to his alibi, inject a compelling layer of suspense. The film masterfully explores whether the past will ultimately reveal the truth or continue to shield its secrets, leaving the audience to ponder the enduring nature of justice and memory.
