THE MUMMY RESURRECTION

Cinemavixion Review

Steve Lawson's "The Mummy Resurrection" offers a modern take on ancient curses, delving into the perils of disturbing the past for personal gain. The film centers on Everett Randolph, a man whose obsession with a purportedly cursed Egyptian sarcophagus leads him down a dark path, seeking to awaken the princess within. While the narrative treads familiar ground of ancient evils unleashed, it does so with a palpable sense of dread, amplified by the tight runtime that ensures a brisk and engaging experience. The performances from Chris Bell, Rafe Bird, and Dawn Butler anchor the supernatural proceedings, grounding the fantastical elements in human avarice and consequence. This low-budget thriller, hailing from the UK, may not boast grand spectacle, but it delivers a focused, atmospheric horror that rewards patient viewers with its commitment to a chilling premise.
