THE MODEL

Cinemavixion Review

Set against the backdrop of 1978, "The Model" chronicles the dramatic ascent of Sasha, an impressionable orphan embarking on an independent life in a bustling metropolis. Displaced from a provincial boarding school, Sasha's journey begins in an unexpected role as a cleaner at the All-Union House of Fashion Models. This unassuming start, however, belies a transformation into a celebrated figure within the fashion world. The narrative promises a compelling exploration of ambition and the often-unforeseen turns of fate, suggesting that not all fairytales culminate in simple happiness, but can instead be fraught with dramatic intensity. Sasha's path is marked by the attention she garners, hinting at the complex personal dynamics that will undoubtedly shape her rise.
