THE MITCHIN MURDERS

Cinemavixion Review

Jamie B-Debbage's "The Mitchin Murders" plunges viewers into the unsettling atmosphere of Mitchin, Iowa, circa 1994. The narrative follows two intrepid journalists who venture into this seemingly tranquil town, driven by a compelling need to unravel a series of perplexing murders that have plagued the community for four years prior. With a runtime of 78 minutes, the film promises a focused and potentially intense exploration of small-town secrets and the darkness that can lie beneath a placid surface. While the film has garnered a 5.1 rating on IMDb, its modest production and limited public reception suggest it may be a hidden gem for those seeking a procedural mystery with a potentially chilling undertone. The performances by Georgie McGuigan, Kate Winter, and Robert Douglas Metson anchor the investigation, inviting audiences to piece together the puzzle alongside the protagonists.
