THE MIGHTY MANTAUR

Cinemavixion Review

Faustus McGreeves's "THE MIGHTY MANTAUR" offers a compelling look beyond the spectacle of professional wrestling, focusing instead on the human drama of Mike Halac, the wrestler known as Mantaur. The documentary eschews traditional wrestling narratives to delve into Halac's personal journey, chronicling his rise to fame in the WWF and his subsequent career in Europe. Through intimate interviews with Halac, his family, friends, and fellow wrestlers, the film paints a poignant portrait of struggle, physical toll, and the eventual pursuit of redemption after a career-ending injury. It's a testament to the resilience of the human spirit, exploring the life of a man defined by his unique persona and the challenges he faced both in and out of the ring.
