THE MIDNIGHTERS

Cinemavixion Review

Julian Fort's 'The Midnighters' plunges viewers into a gritty world where redemption is a precarious commodity. This 2016 crime drama, starring Adam Carl in a compelling performance, details the harrowing journey of a recently paroled safe-cracker forced back into a life of crime. The narrative masterfully weaves a tale of paternal desperation, as the protagonist must risk his hard-won freedom to save his son. Fort, who also penned the script, crafts a tense atmosphere, underscored by the capable performances of Larry Cedar and Charles Dierkop. While the film may not boast mainstream accolades, its potent exploration of loyalty and the inescapable pull of one's past offers a resonant cinematic experience for those drawn to character-driven thrillers.
